How to choose a school ERP that your staff will actually use

Most schools evaluate an ERP by counting modules. Six months later the admissions team is back on spreadsheets, because the software was chosen for a feature list nobody uses day to day.

Start from the three workflows your staff repeat every single day — usually admissions, attendance, and fee collection. If those three are not faster in the demo than what the team does today, no amount of extra modules will fix it.

Then check the parent side. Parents are the largest user group of any school ERP and the only one you cannot train. If a fee receipt takes more than two taps to find, expect the front desk to keep answering the phone.

Finally, ask who supports it. A platform maintained by the same engineers who wrote it gets fixes in days. A reseller-supported product gets tickets.
